Guided Forest Therapy in Whistler
March 27 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm PDT
Free
Forest Therapy, or Forest Bathing, started in Japan as a preventative health care program to support deep relaxation, and nervous system reset.
It is a unique, immersive experience that cultivates a sense of connection, rejuvenation, and serenity. Unlike a typical walk, Forest Therapy is a slow, guided exploration of the forest engaging the senses to still the mind.
Join Monica Sander Burns who is the founder of the Society of Trees and a Certified Forest Therapy Guide. She will share with us the experience of Forest Therapy and its restorative powers. The main component is the experience itself, helping people to see how Nature can offer a pathway to a more relaxed, and connected way of being. At the end of the experience, there is a tea ceremony, where we talk about the experience and offer some advice, thoughts, and tips on developing a mindful Nature practice.
This workshop has a maximum capacity of 12 participants, and it is appropriate for ages 10 and up.
